State human life amendment efforts underway!
In an earlier post I wrote about the states of Colorado and Montana working on Human Life Amendments. Petition drives are currently underway in both states to get this issue on the ballot! Please visit the following links to get more information. Also, please pray for and, if you are able, consider sending support financially to these groups. Michigan Citizens for Life tried to get a personhood amendment on the ballot in 2006, but was opposed by other "pro-life" groups, the Michigan Catholic Conference and Michigan "Right to Life".

Also, the state of Georgia is working on getting a Personhood Amendment passed in the state legislature. You may visit the following link for more information. Please keep these efforts in your prayers!

Dr. Ron Paul on state "Right to Life" amendments
Presidential candidate Ron Paul has issued the following statement supporting states which are working on passing right to life amendments. Michigan Citizens for Life is one such group.
Dr. Paul Issues Statement in Support of State 'Right to Life' Amendments

Ron Paul’s pro-life record is unmatched
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA - Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul, an OB/GYN who has delivered over 4,000 babies, issued the following statement in support of state efforts to pass "Right to Life" amendments:
"The right of an innocent, unborn child to life is at the heart of the American ideals of liberty. My professional and legislative record demonstrates my strong commitment to this pro-life principle.
"Under our Constitution, the states have the duty to protect citizens against murder, and protecting the unborn from having their right to life violated is no exception.
"I find it unconscionable that the Supreme Court overrules states when they pass pro-life legislation. As president, I will fight to end this judicial tyranny.
"Many talk about being pro-life. In Congress, I am the lead sponsor of HR 2597 the ‘Sanctity of Life Act’ and a similar bill, HR 300 the ‘We the People Act.’ Both bills would negate the effect of Roe v Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation that protects life. My bills could pass by a simple majority vote and allow states such as Michigan and South Carolina to end abortion immediately.
"I challenge every candidate who claims to be pro life to support these bills to get the Supreme Court out of the life issue so states can quickly and constitutionally protect the unborn."

More on Ron Paul
Recently I received an email from Pastor Matt Trewhella, founder of Milwaukee-based Missionaries To The Preborn, in support of Ron Paul for President of these united States. Please feel free to comment.
"Dear Friends of the Preborn,
In this ABC interview http://abcnews.go.com/Politics
The article states that Huckabee "sides with Warren in the chasm between those more traditional members of the so-called Christian Right, and those who think evangelicals should focus on other issues beyond abortion and same-sex marriage."
This article reveals why I have been wary to throw my support behind Huckabee. I sensed the same old two-faced lip-service that the Republicans are famous for when it comes to the paramount matters of abortion and homosexuality when watching Huckabee speak. I fear Huckabee will give us what the Republicans have given us for 35 years now when it comes to abortion - lip-service! I quietly and sincerely hope I am wrong. Nevertheless, we need to realize the Republican leadership likes to keep abortion legal because it is a useful tool to keep the Christians in their fold. Hopefully those of us who are Christians will one day wake up and smell the coffee.
Quite frankly, while the Christians have been busy throwing their hats into Huckabee's ring, I think we have missed a great opportunity by our not supporting Ron Paul. I do not agree with Ron Paul on all matters (there's not a man alive on earth that I do), but he is 100% pro-life. He is honest. He says what he believes and you can follow his voting record and see that he puts his actions where his mouth is. He has been married to his wife for 50 years. And, he actually believes in the constitutional limitations of the federal government.
Why are the "conservatives" attacking and belittling him? Because most "conservatives" are just as big Statists as the liberals are. They want a strong, all-pervasive, central government - they just want their version of it; a more clean-cut version - yet nevertheless strong, all-pervasive, central government.
When will we realize that the central government, our federal government, which has brought us the immoral tyranny that our nation suffers under, is not the answer to undo the immoral tyranny? A Paul presidency would help level the playing field in that individual states would no longer be mere bureaucratic conduits of the federal government. A Paul presidency would return a balance of power in our nation by neutering a mad-dog federal government.
Do you want to see the federal government's tyranny of immorality come to an end? Paul would veto 95% of what Congress sends to his desk. His presidency would be like that of President John Tyler (1841-1845) who vetoed nearly everything Congress sent his way. Tyler was my favorite president and his life is worth a read (he too opposed the formation of a central bank).
I've lived long enough now to have seen that whenever a genuine man runs for president and he gets a little traction going, the "conservatives" (whose wagon American Christianity has tied itself to) attack him through misinformation, outright slander, and guilt by association. They did it to Buchanan in '96 and now they are doing it to Paul. Christians parrot the conservative talking-heads, rather than support a man who stands against the very source of tyranny in our nation - the federal government.
Why Christians continue to look to central government, our federal government, to correct things is beyond me. Did not the Republicans have the House, the Senate, and the Presidency for six years? And did we see abortion end? No, but we saw sodomy decriminalized. The government which governs best is that which is nearest the people, and hence more accountable to the people. I cannot even afford to drive to Washington D.C. to try an influence the swine that inhabit that region, but I can drive an hour down the road to Madison (our capitol) to influence them there.
As Christians, we need to instruct the people in the role and function of civil government (as seen in Scripture), otherwise government can do whatever it wants and people do not know what they are doing is wrong! We also need to instruct people in the doctrine of the lesser magistrate so that perhaps one day a lesser magistrate will stand up to the federal tyranny and actually be supported by the people when he does so!

My letter to the editor about Ron Paul
With the January 15th Republican presidential primary in Michigan coming up, I would like to share who I plan to vote for, and some reasons for doing so. Dr. Ron Paul, a Congressman from Texas, and medical doctor who has delivered over 4,000 babies, is a professing Christian who understands that our rights come from our Creator, not the government. He is a strong pro-life candidate, stating on his campaign website, “The right of an innocent, unborn child to life is at the heart of the American ideals of liberty. My professional and legislative record demonstrates my strong commitment to this pro-life principle.” Dr. Paul has sponsored pro-life bills throughout his tenure in office, including the “Sanctity of Life Act of 2007”, H.R.2597, which would define life as existing from conception, and would strip jurisdiction from federal courts to rule on matters pertaining to the right to life. Mr. Paul is also an ardent defender of the 2nd Amendment, American sovereignty, and educational freedom, including the right of parents to home educate their children. I believe we need a president who wants to get back to the basics in government, and who believes we need smaller, local government, rather than the big, bloated federal bureaucracy that we currently have. I believe Dr. Ron Paul is that man. If you would like more information please visit his website at www.ronpaul2008.com, or call his campaign phone number at 1-877-RON-PAUL. I hope you will join me in supporting and voting for Ron Paul for President of these united States.

News from Colorado
Last time I wrote of 2 states which are working to end abortion. The effort in Colorado is underway, with petition training and collecting. Here is a excerpt from an update which I received from Michigan pro-life missionary, Cal Zastrow, who is in Colorado helping train the petitioners.
"Revival! Missions!
Greetings from beautiful Colorado.
The battle rages out here as we are training people and getting more groups on board for the Colorado human life amendment. Time magazine mentioned us last week. Here is an article that was on the front page of the Chicago Tribune yesterday:
http://www.chicagotribune.com
The U.S. News and World Report is having a journalist spend the day with Keith Mason and I tomorrow as we train people."
Please join me in lifting this effort up in prayer. With God, all things truly are possible!

Persecution of prolifers in Iowa
I wrote in an earlier article about Missionaries to the Preborn-IOWA and the sham trial of Donna Holman for ministering outside a Planned Parenthood death chamber there. Here is an update from the director of MTP-IOWA, Dan Holman:
- PRESS RELEASE -
At 8:30 a.m. October 23, 2007 , at the Johnson County Courthouse in Iowa City , Iowa , Donna Holman is to appear before the Magistrate Karen Egerton to have her probation revoked for not complying with Egerton’s order.
Donna Holman was convicted of a bogus charge of "Harassment" during a normal sidewalk counseling situation at Planned Parenthood in Iowa City , Iowa . Though video of the purported altercation showed no harassment, Egerton found Donna Holman guilty on the hearsay testimony of Planned Parenthood employees.
The charges were an apparent setup between Planned Parenthood and Iowa City Police. Two female officers eagerly arrested Donna Holman on the morning of November 1, 2006 shortly after Planned Parenthood’s first abortion appointments arrived.
The Jane Doe victim/witnesses whom Mrs. Holman purportedly harassed was subpoenaed but did not show up for court. The courtroom audience was packed with Planned Parenthood executive types.
Karen Egerton accepted the hearsay testimony of Planned Parenthood employees in lieu of the "victims" testimony. She rejected defendant’s video evidence which showed no harassment took place
Though Mrs. Holman has a constitutional right to confront her witnesses, the Iowa Supreme Court, without explanation, denied her application for discretionary review. Donna Holman does not have the financial means to take her case to Federal Court.
Mrs. Holman was given a 30 day suspended sentence pending completion of a year’s probation and getting a psychiatric evaluation and recommended meds. She was also given a permanent injunction keeping her from ministering to abortion bound women at Planned Parenthood.
The court received a psychological exam of Donna Holman from a counselor licensed in California . Egerton insists that Mrs. Holman have a psychiatric exam by a psychiatrist licensed in Iowa ; she is further ordered Mrs. Holman to take psychotic drugs if they are prescribed.
Donna Holman is refusing to comply with the psychiatric exam and possible medication. On October 23, 2007 her probation could be revoked. She could spend up to 30 days in jail for refusing to obey Egerton's order.
This court is arrogant in supposing that a person is mentally ill because they believe baby-murder to be wrong. It is a great evil for government to permit, protect, and promote baby-murder under a color of law. It is hypocritical of Karen Egerton to suppose that a woman has the personal liberty to kill her unborn child, while ordering Mrs. Holman to seek medical attention against her will.
Missionaries to the Pre-born Iowa will be speaking up for Donna Holman outside the courthouse before and after Donna Holman’s hearing.
Whether Mrs. Holman is incarcerated or not, Missionaries to the Pre-born will spend the day in Iowa City speaking up for those appointed for death at Planned Parenthood and Emma Goldman.
