If Georgia can do it, why can't we?

Will Georgia become the first state to begin protecting ALL preborn babies from being murdered by abortion?

Well, under a bill introduced by Georgia State Rep Bobby Franklin, it could. HB1 would define life as starting at conception, and restore protection to preborn children. Which begs an obvious question- If Georgia can do it, why can't Michigan? Michigan Citizens for Life conducted a petition drive which would have put an initiative on the 2006 ballot to define life as starting at conception, and stop abortion in Michigan. Interestingly enough, the effort was shot down by Michigan Right to Life and the Michigan Catholic Conference. I know, (?????????????????)

What we need to do now is turn up the heat on our own State Reps and Senators to introduce legislation which will define and write into our Michigan Constitution that preborn children are fully human from the moment of conception, and are entitled to the same protection as other human beings.

Can I count on you to contact 110th District State Rep Mike Lahti, and ask him to introduce such legislation? His contact info is as follows:

The Honorable Michael Lahti
P.O. Box 30014
Lansing, MI 48909-7514
Phone: 517-373-0850

You may e-mail him at mikelahti@house.mi.gov

If you do contact him, could you post a comment to this thread with his response? It is time to END THE KILLING in Michigan.

Thank you!
